"Like you some muslim Buffy with a dick!"
o1. Ah! I have been horrible at LJ this past week! I apologize. My excuse is that I worked a bit longer hours (which is good for money) and....ok TBH, it's 97% this guy's fault:

Gosh, he glamored the fuck out of me and it still hasn't worn off yet! Smug bastard.

o2. Other than ~flailing~ over Eric I did actually go to the movies (yes, the actual movie theater) twice this past weekend. This is almost unheard of for me. I'm a huge film buff and I see tons of movies, but I'm also a cheap bastard.

On Saturday, Chiya and I went to see Away We Go for my bb, John Krasinski. And, wow! I really loved it. There was a scene at the end that had me in tears. And I don't mean 1 single tear that I can pretend never happened...I mean that I was so moved I actually full out cried.

On Sunday, I went to go see The Hangover with my parents because that's what my dad wanted to do for Father's Day (haha, my dad can be kind of awesome). It was beyond hilarious, I died laughing repeatedly. And mmmm Bradley Cooper! Does anyone find it amusing that BC is playing all assholes now? Wiiillll!
My brother didn't come with us to the movie because he went to a concert with his girlfriend. On Sunday morning I got up early to make my dad breakfast, I went to he movies with him because that's what he wanted to do, and then we had a nice dinner. My brother wasn't there for any of it which was kind of douchey IMO. I tried to coordinate something with him but he never bothered to call me back. My dad was lucky to get a "Happy Father's Day" from him. I mentioned what we did to my brother yesterday and he was like, "geez Laura, way to make me feel bad" and I didn't say anything. But I thought, "Well, YOU SHOULD!" :/

o3. Going back to my lover (barf, I hate that phrase now) Eric, I'm now reading the 5th Sookie Stackhouse book. I started the first one only a week ago! In the past week I also got completely caught up on True Blood, so between the books and the show the Southern Vampires kind of ate all of my free time! You know how it is getting into a new fandom and all...

The books are so shitty, but in a fun/addicting way(I did read 4 of them in only 6 days, ha). Sookie annoys me sometimes but I don't want to smack her constantly like other people (BELLA!). The bad writing quality does grain on me, but it's still better than Twilight thankfully. These are the reasons why:

1. Eric
2. SEX
3. Eric!
4. Sometimes you can laugh with it and not at it (although I do also laugh at it a lot)
5. ~ERIC!!~

I came across a blog the other day that pretty much summed up my thoughts exactly on the series. I can't remember precisely what was said but it was something about how perplexing it is that such a crappy series can contain such an incredibly awesome character. Seriously, the only vampire I like more than Eric is Spike. Or possibly Count Von Count from Sesame Street. He's really the HBIC of the Vampire world you know! (Count Chocula would be his 2nd in command a la Pam)

So, basically I have mad love for this BAMF character. And because of that...I had to picspam him (and don't expect this to be the last time I'll do this either!)

Eric: Is there blood in my hair?
Lafayette: What?
Eric: Is there blood in my hair?
Lafayette: I dunno, I can't see in this light.
Eric: How about now?
Lafayette: Yea, there's a little bit of blood in there. Yea.
Eric: Oh this is bad. Pam's gonna kill me!

Pam: This is a disaster! We'll have to go much shorter than I planned!
Eric: Well I said I was sorry, Pam! He took silver to me. (To Lafayette) You were there, you saw it! Defend me!

Every single line of dialogue in this scene was brilliant. I seriously had to hold myself back from typing up the whole thing. Eric said pussylover! And Lafayette!

Lafayette: So if I got even a Jew in an Al Queda pep rally shot of getting my black ass up out this motherfucker' I'm takin' it!

Eric: Good evening, old sport!
Bill: Eric?
Eric: It's the new me. You like?
Bill: I do! Very much!
Saleslady who was hitting on Bill: (realizing how slashy they're being) OH! Ok! lolz!

HAHAHAHAHA! THIS WAS MY FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE WHOLE EP! Someone thinking Bill/Eric are gay while they're shopping in Forever 21? PRICELESS!

I love Bill's "WTF?" face and Eric's smirk in the last cap. ha!

Bill is so much more amusing in the TV show than in the books. He's pretty much a nice guy in the first 2 books (and then becomes a giant douchebag in book 3....) but even at his best he was never this entertaining (he's pretty much Edward Cullen without the sparkle TBH).

And you know what else I love? Bill was in Forever 21 because he was shopping for Jessica, that makes sense. But Eric was in Forever 21 because he was shopping for...himself?
Also, lol the tracksuit!

Eric: We made a deal, your human and I, that if i didn't kill anyone she would work for me as often as I like. Now you remember this, don't you? You were there.
Bill: Taking her across state lines is a far cry from taking her to Fangtasia for the evening!
Eric: I'm only asking your permission out of respect. If I want her I can simply take her. Is no your final answer?
Bill: It is!
Eric: Poorly played, Bill.

See? Bill's possessiveness is SO Edward Cullen.

Lafayette: Make me a vampire!
Eric: I beg your pardon?
Lafayette: Look, I'm already a person of poor moral character so I hit the ground running, and I damn near glamor people already!

First of all, GUUUUH! I find tracksuits in general to be horribly unattractive but damn, Eric is workin' it. And Pam too. It's completely adorbs that they match. heh.
I'd totally ship Pam/Eric if Vampire/Vampire relationships weren't out of the norm in this series (btw, I still find it bizarre that Vamps don't usually like dating each other. It would be so much easier for them if they did, I mean think logically guys!).

I would LOVE for Lafayette to become a vampire actually. His reasons are really solid. Could you imagine Lafayette and Pam as BFFs? Omg that would be the best thing ever. Although with that said, I don't think that's going to happen (at least not right away, my fingers are crossed for later in the season though).

Also...

omg Sam! ♥
He's still wearing his plaid shirt. Sam is like the most adorable dog ever, ngl.

Where did this come from? :p

I dunno, the screencaps were sitting there and I just...it just happened. lol

I hope the show goes there. But I actually hope they get there in a different way than the books...

o4.
The Books

Ok first of all, how childish are these book covers?!
They look like they were written for 12 year olds!

Seriously, I can just picture my 13 year old cousin (who's obsessed with Twilight) walking into B&N or Borders or something and seeing these (WHICH ARE RIGHT NEXT TO THE TWILIGHT BOOKS IN THE BORDERS ON 32nd and 2nd BTW!)
She would think they were similar and start reading...and then be traumatized for life. These books are NOT for kids. There's a reason the TV show adaption is on HBO and not the CW!

Eric would mock these covers. He'd burst out laughing and wonder why the heck he and Bill are dressed up as Dracula, was it Halloween at Fangtasia?

Book 1 - Dead Until Dark
+ This was pretty much s1 of True Blood almost exactly. The only real differences are that Tara isn't in it at all and they expanded on Lafayette and Jason's characters a ton (+ Lizzy Caplan's character wasn't in the books sadly).
+ Also, BILL DIDN'T KILL LONG SHADOW, ERIC DID! That was one of the few changes that the show made that kind of bothered me (although I guess it did bring about Jessica and everything...)
I suppose it's not that big of a deal in the long run. I'm over it. But still...

Book 2 - Living Dead In Dallas
+ ERIC WEARS LYCRA IN ORDER TO GO TO AN ORGY WITH SOOKIE!
I'm not even kidding! That is hands down the best part! I was dying of laughter! THEY HAVE TO INCLUDE THAT SCENE! THEY HAVE TO! That is probably the 1 thing I want to see more than anything else in the entire book series.
+ Seriously, this book was way more entertaining than the first one just because Eric became a main character (which I assume is exactly what I'm going to say about s1 vs. s2 in the future).
+ Oh and Eric/Sookie first kissed in this book and it was hot as all hell! I really hope they do that scene on the show word-for-word. And I hope Eric gets to make out with her a bit at the orgy too.
+ Over all I'm loving the changes that the show has made so far. Jason being involved with the cult is kind of perfect. He was barely in the book at all so they needed to figure out something for him to do, and he just really is that clueless...plus it makes the whole situation a bit more personal for Sookie which should be interesting.
+ I also love that they took the maenad which was such a "wtf" minor character and developed her into Maryanne (I assume the orgies will all take place at her house).

Book 3 - Club Dead
+ ERIC ♥
+ I really loved Alcide! But this is kind of where I began to get a little annoyed with Sookie. I hate when everyone wants the main character. It's ridiculous. If it was just Bill and Eric that would be one thing, but adding Alcide as another potential love interest was a bit too much. CH likes to keep repeating the fact that all human guys think Sookie is crazy and it's only ~magical~ guys that like her but plz, it's still absurd.
+ The Eric/Sookie hook up here was AMAZING! Stupid Elvis Bubba for interrupting!
+ OK WTF BILL?! Seriously Bill's character got totally shit on in this book. First he just takes off on business and barely tells Sookie anything, and then he hooks up with his ex (who later betrays him), and then HE ALMOST KILLS AND ACTUALLY RAPES SOOKIE! I mean, I get that it was sort of an accident and he didn't realize what he was doing but...I dunno If I would ever be able to look at Bill again regardless. Especially since Sookie was sexually assaulted as a child!
Plus, how the hell do you "accidentally" rape someone?! I get that he was out of it, and I can see how he wouldn't be able to resist taking a bit too much blood from her due to hunger, but why in the world would he have to take his dick out?! I understand that blood lust and regular lust are tied together BUT STILL!
Does that mean there's something the matter with Bill or something wrong with all Vamps in general(would any vamp just have raped her on the spot)?
+ I'm guessing Sookie was thinking of the latter which is why she uninvited both Bill and Eric from her house at the end. I was pretty proud of her there. Even though Eric did nothing wrong and was nothing short of amazing in this book, what Bill did to her was definitely enough to turn anyone off from Vamps (and men in general) at least for the time being.

Book 4 - Dead To The World
+ I had heard such good things about this book before reading it. It seemed to be a favorite of the fandom but...TBH I really didn't like it that much.
+ Eric had more page time here than in the other books but at the same time...he also had so much less. He was there in almost every chapter but I still missed him like crazy!
+ First of all, the entire concept of this book was pure crappy fanfic material. Eric is cursed by a witch and loses his memory so he starts acting all sweet/nice and OOC which leads to him and Sookie falling in love? Um....
+ I would understand if he was not really "himself" for the first couple of chapters since losing your memory is rather traumatic, but afterward...YOU CAN STILL HAVE THE SAME BASIC PERSONALITY/SENSE OF HUMOR IF YOU LOST YOUR MEMORY! Ugh, I missed his snarky comments so much. Sure, his real personality and a comment or 2 snuck in there a few times but it wasn't enough. He was still basically a pod person for the entire book.
It was kind of like the season 4 premiere of HIMYM where Barney tried to act all nice and Ted-like so Robin would like him more and Robin was just like "WTF? I don't like this. You're being weird! I WANT YOU TO BE BARNEY!" Imagine if Barney had acted like that ALL SEASON long...and eventually it worked. The sex would still be hot but it wouldn't be 1/10th as hot as it would have been if he was just "himself". This would never have worked on HIMYM anyway because Robin > Sookie, s2s!
+ I actually found the Sookie/Eric hook up in book 3 (where they got to 3rd base) to be WAAAY hotter than any of the sex they had in this book. Because Eric was Eric when that happened, not some random douche.
+ And let's face it...book 4!Eric was just a little too over the top. He was sweet, but I really think CH went too far with making him "different". Wtf was up with all the "my lover" crap? I know he said that before this book once or twice but back then I found it funny. Like he would say "Ah, my future lover!" with a smirk on his face and Sookie would just hit him and be like "STFU, you're such a bastard. I hate you!" and I would laugh and it would all be wonderful. But if you start saying "my lover" constantly when your personality is more like Sam or Bill you just sound like a douche. I'm sorry, but it's true.
+ There was one point where Eric said something and Sookie replied, "That's exactly what Bill said!" and I wanted to cry. ERIC AND BILL SHOULD NEVER SAY THE SAME THING!
+ You know when I actually did almost burst into tears? When Eric got his memory back! OH GOD THAT WAS THE BEST PART! I haven't wanted to hug a fictional character so hard in a long time.
+ Generally speaking, I liked how it ended. It'll be interesting for Sookie to remember every bit of their time "together" while he still assumes it didn't happen (although I'm sure on some level he'll know. It almost happened one too many times in book 3. It would be ridiculous to think she wouldn't have touched him while he was stuck in her house night after night, just laying his hotness out there!)

Book 5 - Dead As A Doornail
+ I'm about 100 pgs in so far and I'm enjoying it. I heard this was one of the weaker books in the series but at this point I don't really agree, but maybe I'll change my mind once I finish, we'll see!
+ The scene where she went to see Eric in Fangtasia was awesome. This exactly how I hoped their relationship would play out after book 4!
+ I AM SO GLAD THAT ALCIDE ACTUALLY SAID THAT BILL RAPED SOOKIE! While reading the last book I was getting kind of worried that the author meant us to view it as "not a big deal". But it was a fucking huge deal IMO. :/

I should be done with books 5-9 by next week! lol cause I'm crazy like that!

o5. Since I didn't post on Monday I think I'm going to skip Music Monday this week. BUT since I can't let a week go by without uploading music I'll still give you 3 great songs:
Yacht - Psychic City (This is such a fun song that many a blogger have already called, 'the song of the summer'. That personally feels like a bit of over-hype to me but I still enjoy it)
Alexi Murdoch - Blue Mind (This is from the amazing sdtrk to 'Away We Go'. I'm in love with every song on it.)
Tiny Vipers - Dreamer (The singer's voice here is so haunting and gorgeous. The song makes you ache. I can't stop listening to it.)

o6. MEME:

Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.

I hope this doesn't get lost in the epic nature of this entry! ha

Eric is so fantastic. Just adore him. And yes, he was so working that track suit... ♥

LOL @ BILL/ERIC. Omg. I loved that.

Oh and the meme! Um...True Blood. :)

I kind of want to find Bill/Eric fanfic now. HAHA!

1. I don't ship Bill/Sookie. I mean, they do have great sex scenes but they're a bit blah to me. I actually watched the first 3 eps of the show when it first aired last year but then I just...stopped. I didn't dislike it as a whole, but I didn't know if I wanted to watch a show that focused so much on a pairing that I felt like I've seen 100x before. They're not that different from Buffy/Angel or Edward/Bella or any other stereotypical Vampire/Human relationship.
Then when s2 was about the start I head about Eric. And honestly, the fact that a character like this even existed is what made me want to watch again/read the books.

2. I love everything they changed about the books on the show! The whole fandom seems to complain about the differences but so far I think everything they've done has made it way better (with the exception of Bill killing Long Shadow to save Sookie instead of Eric, but the fact that there's only 1 change I disliked is still great).

3. So far, I really like Sookie and I don't find her that annoying. And I generally love Anna Paquin.

2. Oh, that sucks about your brother. I feel like holidays are one thing my sister and I do at least get right. We're crappy daughters in other ways, but we show up for those!

I'm pretty sure Eric is my favorite vampire. I mean, I'm not that much of a Spike person and certainly it's not going to be EDWARD. Angel's good and all, but ERIC. MMMM.

AWESOME PICSPAM. Yes, you must do many more!

I love Bill's "WTF?" face and Eric's smirk in the last cap. ha!

Hahah, yes. Bill's all "Huh?" And Eric's just like, "Yeah, that's right."

Ok first of all, how childish are these book covers?!

Have you seen the cover of the last one in person? It's SPARKLY! I LOVE IT.

I'm guessing Sookie was thinking of the latter which is why she uninvited both Bill and Eric from her house at the end. I was pretty proud of her there.

YES. I think that's one of the (many) Sookie > Bella moments. We get to see Sookie taking control of her life! Bella was always way too "But why is this perfect, amazing, handsome vampire in love with little old me?" to do anything like that.

But, yeah, that's why I didn't want to say book 4 was my favorite. I mean, I LIKE it, and it gave us Sookie/Eric, which couldn't really happen with the "real" Eric at this point . . . but that's exactly it. It's NOT the real Eric. Anyway, it gives more layers to the relationship, which is always a good thing. I loooove that Sookie remembers and Eric doesn't!

yes, MMMMERIC!

Bill's all "Huh?" And Eric's just like, "Yeah, that's right."
LMAO THIS KIND OF DESCRIBES THEIR CHARACTERS IN THE ENTIRE BOOK SERIES PERFECTLY!

I have! I do kind of love the Sparkle! And the cloak covering Bill and Sookie is sparkly too in the hardcover version of Book 1!
lol maybe they're trying to get the Twilight tweens to read them even more by making the books ~sparkle~! That's so evil. I can only imagine all the questions that the 12 year olds will have. "MOMMY, WHY WAS SOOKIE'S BACK WET AFTER SHE DRANK ERIC'S BLOOD? I DON'T UNDERSTAND? AND WHERE WAS HIS FINGER BEFORE THAT? WAS HE HOLDING HER HAND?" *facepalm*
Seriously, I would bet any amount of money that some little girl bought one of these books without knowing. There's just no way that didn't happen with this kind of marketing.

Yea, Bella has some serious self esteem issues. And at least Sookie doesn't go on and on about how hot Bill and Eric are...although she actually is starting to. I don't know if she's a hornier person after sleeping with Eric or what, but now I feel like whenever she's with any guy she makes some comment about wanting to do him. And I'm starting to be like "...ok are you a 16 year old boy, Sookie?"
I was highly amused by the in depth description of how nice Eric's ass is though. lol

It's true, Eric/Sookie really couldn't have happened in the regular way in book 4. That is the one thing about it that made a bit of sense. There was a really good reason why she wanted to stay away from all vamps/men at the end of book 3. It would be impossible for anyone to just get over what happened with Bill.
But I guess I just think that Harris went too far with "changing" Eric. It's like she had to turn him into "Bill"(or I guess TV!Bill because book 4!Eric was still better than book!Bill, ha) to make Eric/Sookie happen.
I think if they ever do this storyline on the show I wouldn't mind it, but I would want them to tone down the Eric-is-only-ok-when-he's-like-Bill thing.
I really don't know why CH didn't keep his personality the same. It's not like he was a complete asshole to Sookie prior to book 4. He was actually there for her more than anyone else was crude remarks and all.

BITCH, IT'S ERIC NORTHMAN. Lol, sorry this is pretty much my reaction to Eric all the time these days. He's such a BAMF and I love how the show is going there because there's never this vicious and brutal side that's so Eric but Sookie doesn't really think about in the books.

how perplexing it is that such a crappy series can contain such an incredibly awesome character.
Yes to this. I don't think the series is that bad but Eric is such a compelling character that probably has a lot of interesting (I actually wanna say something about some stuff about Eric himself here but you haven't gotten to the latest book yet so I'll hold off) things, even sometimes more than the books themselves.

Haha, I read the books after Twilight so compared to that, I hold a certain kind of admiration to the series despite all the ridiculous shit.

Book 3 and 4 are favorites of mine.

Boom 3: I understand why supernatural guys wanting Sookie is grating and it gets worse as the series progresses but Eric being jealous, possessive and etc. is amusing so I don't mind it that much. Also, I liked Alcide but then I'm a big sucker for those doomed friends/kinda romance relationships.

or something wrong with all Vamps in general(would any vamp just have raped her on the spot)?
This is such an interesting question and I'm sad that it never got discussed after the rape incident. Yes, I consider it as rape no matter when Sookie thinks of it as. Her ability to easily forget and forgive (well go back to Bill's arms for a while) bothers the hell out of me.

Book 4 is so 'lol convenient amnesia storyline!' but I still think it's one of the better books. I get easily confused or more like indifferent to Harris' plotlines for the whole books but book 4 was pretty solid in plot so I think that might be a main reason I like this one so much. Amnesia Eric is certainly different and nowhere as amazing as real Eric (I like E/S for the fun snark too) but I don't think he was ever a douche? Heh.
Haha, sex scenes in this series are never that great. Book 3 > Book 4 for Eric/Sookie sexy times for sure. Harris writes the dirty sex, sure but I've read better sex in fanfic. Lol, Eric's "my lover" works for me as long as he does it in small doses. I find it hilarious more than anything.

I like Book 5! It's pretty okay and I remember liking a lot of the characters. I lost my love for Alcide by book 5 but yes, I love how he said it. It was rape and I don't know how Sookie can look at Bill the same way after that but apparently, she manages, ack.

I hope you post your thoughts on 5-9 too! Though this series is so long, I honestly can't remember a lot of what the hell happened during those books. Oh, and what's your opinion on Sam in the books? I adore him.

Hmm, Skins for the meme?

Edit: LOL THIS IS SO LONG. SORRY. By the way, A+ picpspam! Love it. Eric is such a BAMF. I'm really hoping Lafayette gets turned. Think of all the fun! I doubt it'll happen for a while too... I just hope it does.

It's true, I feel like one of the things that I love about the show is that it's not from Sookie's POV. Eric probably did have people chained up in the basement for all Sookie knew, lol!

ooo Eric gets jealous? I haven't seen any of that yet but I'm really excited for it!

I like the Alcide storyline in general but I just don't like that it's ON TOP of everything else, you know?

I have a question though! I was googling something about the books the other day and I ended up on the Sookie Stackhouse wikipedia page and it listed the fairies as her cousins. So after being mildly annoyed about being spoiled I thought, "Is that why all the magical creatures want her so badly, because she's part-fairy?" Is it? Because I would almost forgive all the love interests if this was part of the reasoning behind it. Or am I just reaching?

lol, I think should clarify the douche thing. I meant it more like..you know how the HIMYM characters call Ted a douche? They mean it almost affectionately (personally, I love Ted for being a douche, ha). It's just because he's so sappy/sentimental/ridiculous...all things that are true of book 4!Eric.
Book 4!Eric is actually a really similar character to TVshow!Bill. I guess I just didn't like that CH had to basically make Eric someone else in order for Eric/Sookie to happen. Eric treated her better than most people prior to book 4 anyway, he was just a bit more crude.
I think I would have enjoyed the book more if his sense of humor was still there. Because then I could still feel like deep down he was the same guy. I think a better writer than CH might have been able to pull it off actually. So it's possible that if they do the storyline on the show it could really work for me.

At the end of book 4 Eric just overdoses on "my lover". I didn't mind it that much the first or second time...but by the 10th I was like "OK YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY BE SERIOUS?!" lol

I adore Sam in the books! He's such a sweetheart, but not in a cheesy way. I like that Sam has been around a bit more in book 5 than usual!

OK SKINS!

1. Effy kind of bugs me. I loved her in s1 but after she started talking my love for her dropped dramatically, haha. I wouldn't go as far to say that I dislike her, but she's defintiely not my favorite.

2. I also really don't like Effy/Freddy. I found them totally blah.

3. Cassie annoyed me a lot in s2. I hate saying that because I was a bit obsessed with her in s1 but it's true.

4. Ok, I think I just have to get this 1 off of my chest. I really like Chris/Jal but...I don't ship them even half as much as the whole fandom does. It's like I enjoyed watching them, but I don't know if I'd ever want to read Chris/Jal fic.

It's such a fun guilty pleasure show!

The books may be trashy but they're quick easy reads. I did manage to read 4 in 1 week while still working/going to the movies/going out to dinner, haha. I feel like I enjoy the show more now that I've read them since I have better idea of where the show is going with things. It's a lot of fun to pick up on little things here and there and realize what they are.

Aw, sad! I actually have lots of love for Anna Paquin because I remember being so ~inspired~ by her Oscar win when I was a little. Acting was my hobby of choice and I've always been obsessed with films so to see someone who was only 2 years older than me win an actual Oscar when I was like 9 years old was perhaps one of my favorite Award Show moments ever.
I remember going to see movies just because she was in them back in the day.

01. it's cool! though you were missed last monday. ;) haha. work does have a tendency to get in the way and plus how can you say no to eric? :) damn so fly.

02. Away We go!!! oh man i wanna watch this movie toooo!!!! i don't think it'll ever come out here so i'll have to wait for the DVD. as for the hangover, i think it's hilarious your dad wanted to watch it! It's such a man's movie and well dad's are men. LoL

too bad your brother didn't get to participate in the father's day activities. i feel for you. :( it would have been nice if he were there for your dad's day. :(

03. i never got to catch up which makes me sad, but i like eric. and i'm not even that into blondes!

04. the covers do feel very kiddie. i saw them and was like, wait, THIS is what true blood was based on? they look so happy! :D haha.

05. i love alexi murdoch! thanks for this one ;)

Hopefully since it's an indie movie it'll come out on DvD faster than usual! You really need to see it!

You should catch up, it's such a fun guilty pleasure type show. Although I suppose it practically ~scholarly~ in comparison to Gossip Girl and stuff like that, haha.
Eric's snarky sense of humor totally makes up for his blonde-ness! haha

HAHA YEA, that was the same reaction I had to the covers at first too! There should be blood and sex on the cover not flying people, what looks like a 12 year old blonde girl, and a cartoon tiger!

Alexi did pretty much the entire sdtrk for Away We Go, all the songs are wonderful!

Yayyy, someone else who finds Bill endearing! I honestly love the guy, he's such a geek. Especially when he was playing the Wii and when he told Jessica that he recycles in the house, hahaha. Also, the Forever21 they were at was one I've been to before. So weiiiiird that Bill shops there.

I'm so glad Eric's getting more screentime because ugh, he's amazing. I am so ready for The Eric/Pam/Lafayette Show.

Unpopular opinions on Gossip Girl?

Bill is all kinds of adorable with his ~old fashion~ ideals. I hope they change everything when s3 comes along and don't make him become a dumbass!

HAHAHA DID YOU EVER SEE VAMPIRES WHILE YOU WERE IN THAT FOREVER 21?!

Yes, Lafayette just needs to become a vamp so he can always hang out with Pam and Eric. They would be the trio of awesome. My entire obsession with Eric started in book 2 where he steals every single scene he's in so I'm fully expecting s2 to follow suit, and so far it is! :D

1. I barely like Blair/Chuck anymore. This makes me so sad since I was crazy in love with them in s1! I hope s3 makes me ship them again...

2. I really don't like Nate. I don't feel like there's anything there to like...he's basically a robot. His personality changes from episode to episode, just like whoever he happens to be dating. I hope the writers give him an actual consistent personality at some point, ha.

3. I would rather the show revolve around Eric & Jonathan than any of the other characters, haha. I know loving Eric is a popular opinion but I'm taking it a step farther. I want him to take over.

PLEASE, DON'T MAKE MY ERIC OBSESSION EVEN BIGGER! He is the reason why I watch TB and when he's not on screen, I'm just waiting for his scenes. How AWESOME was he in the last ep, seriosuly! Eric/Pam, shopping at Forever 21 ... FTW.

I heard Eric has a much bigger role in the later books and that Eric/Sookie happens. I hope that they'll happen on the show as well, but I'm not sure, since Stephen/Anna are a couple off-screen and the producers seem to love them.

I'm planning to read the whole book series soon (mainly for Eric), but I hope this won't ruin the show for me, as I usually prefer staying spoiler-free.

FNL for the meme!

HAHA IT IS MY JOB THIS SUMMER TO MAKE EVERYONE MORE OBSESSED WITH ERIC!

I'm the same way with TB! I mean, I enjoy the whole show but when Eric shows up I seriously jump up and my attention increases an insane amount. haha.

Actually his much bigger role in the book starts in book 2, which is the book they're focusing on RIGHT NOW on the show, yay! I'm mid book 5 and the only book he hasn't had a big role in so far is the first one (where he was only in 2 chapters, hence his limited s1 screentime).

I think Eric/Sookie will happen in some capacity. I read an interview with Alex a few days ago where he talked about Eric and Sookie getting to know each other better this season. Plus, one of the s2 promos seemed like it was a Eric/Sookie/Bill triangle one! Whether they want to focus more on Bill/Sookie or not I think the Eric/Sookie sexual tension is such a huge part of the books (way larger than Bill/Sookie so far) that it would be hard to ignore it completely.

I think you should read the books for Eric! Reading the books is really what made me obsessed with him in the first place!
And I think that the books have actually made me enjoy the show more. In the last few eps of s1 there were a few things that happened that kind of made my brain explode in excitement because I've read the books, whereas if I didn't I wouldn't even have noticed or cared.
I think it just gives you a better idea of where they're going with certain things. The books seem to be just used as an outline to the show, it's not a direct adaptation.
The only bad thing I've found about reading the books is that in book 3 Bill becomes the world's biggest dumbass so you have to really separate your thoughts about him from the show (and hope the show changes that whole storyline if they do a season 3!).
So Bill fans might not like anything after book 2...but Eric fans should love everything I've read so far!

Ok FNL!

1. It's unpopular that I haven't watched in a year. haha, I need to catch up! It wasn't really that I found it bad I just kind of forgot about it. But I heard s3 was better than s2 so i need to catch up!

2. I really can't stand Lyla!

3. Since I can't stand Lyla I'm really not a fan of any ship involving Lyla either (even though I love both Jason and Tim Riggins)

I'm usually the same way. You should read more of the books, they've only covered book 1 so far and a tiny bit of book 2. And book 2 is when it starts to get good anyway because Eric becomes a main character! Also the books are a bit different so it never feels like you're reading the exact same thing.

I think I'd love ASkar in every role he plays, lol. That guy is just awesome, and I love that finally they cut his hair \o/ I love him with short hair as in GKill, but even in this way he is gorgeous! \o/ I still have to watch True Blood (my list is so long... ç_ç°) but my brother bought me the first book ^-^ He's reading as well and he said to me Sookie is such a Mary Sue! XD Anyway in Italy we don't have those covers O_o We have the promotional poster of True Blood (that one with the girl who licks the blood from her lips). I think it was to get more people since True Blood is airing on the italian pay-tv right now :).

I dunno if I'd go as far to call her a Mary Sue, she definitely has a personality even if I don't always like it. haha!

We have the promotional poster of True Blood cover on the first book too but the rest of the books (there's 9 of them!) all have the regular covers.

ASkar's character Eric kind of makes the whole show for me. And the book series. I wasn't really that interested in either until he came along. His character doesn't really become a "main character" until book 2.

Seriously, I can just picture my 13 year old cousin (who's obsessed with Twilight) walking into B&N or Borders or something and seeing these

When I was probably about 13 I actually got the first book from the library because I thought it looked interesting. I never ended up reading it though. Heh.

You should check out the series now though, if just for Eric and his awesome-ness!

That was my original problem with the show too. When I first watched it I felt like Bill/Sookie was just like every other "blah" Vampire/Human relationship I'd seen 100x and never really liked in the first place.
But then I heard about Eric! And Eric/Sookie! And that's really what made me both read the books and go back to watching the show.
You should start watching again too. Eric is a main character now and it looks like Eric/Sookie might be a possibility!

Thanks, yea my brother is lame!

Haha, that's quite a coincidence, I went to the cinema twice this week too and I hardly ever go. I only paid for one of the films, but still.

Everyone on my flist who's seen Away We Go has loved it. It must be so amazing. I am dying to see it but until there's a download I doubt I'll be able to :/

Sigh, siblings. My sisters didn't get my mum her Mother's Day present until this week, I gave her my gift before the actual day (it was in late May).
