"Your sheriff, Eric, came to speak to me last night,' the queen told me."
Here it is. THE LAST ERIC PICPSAM UNTIL NEXT YEAR!

I'll be sobbing and mumbling in Swedish and wiping blood off of my cheeks while typing up this whole entry I'm sure.

ERIC, DON'T LEAVE ME!

P.S. This entry will also make ONTD cry.

(Eric rolls the dice)
Eric: Hm. How long does this game go on for?
Sophie-Anne: We play to five million.
Hadley: She's way ahead.
Sophie-Anne: It's pure luck. Yahtzee is the most egalitarian game in the world. You could be my social, physical, or intellectual inferior but your chances are equal to mine. It's the perfect antidote for this world where things such as superiority and inferiority do matter. (To Eric) Oh! Speaking of which, I heard about your maker. That blows.
Eric: Thank you. Your majesty is very kind...
(Sophie-Anne rolls the dice)
Sophie-Anne: Yahtzee!
Hadley: That's six in a row!
Ludis: It is a magic!
Sophie-Anne: I do not cheat! What would be the point?

I love the little scorecard. You can't read it but it says:

SOPHIE-ANNE

3,796,124

HADLEY

1,593,942

LUDIS

1,873,815

NIGEL ANTOINE PIE KHALID RANDOLF TIFFANIA MARGARET MANO BILL ERIC

589,709

Eric wrote his name bigger than the other names, LOL HE WOULD!

ha, they played with someone named "PIE"

DO YOU REALIZE THAT THIS IS THE ONLY POST 2.09 REACTION ERIC HAS HAD ABOUT GODRIC?!

The gulp. Oh, Eric. ♥

I mean, there was Sookie's dream in 2.10 (where the beginning may or may not have really happened) but it was still a DREAM and therefore doesn't count as emotional closure to me. Especially since it wasn't even his dream.

Alan Ball claims that there was a plot-related reason why Eric had very little screen time in the last three episodes. Well, honestly, IDAF. Even if there was a good reason for it we still should have had some follow up to the Dallas storyline. Is there even a question as to that being the most successful part of the show this season?

While we were watching Jane Boathouse cut off her finger, Eric was dealing with the after-math of the most emotionally traumatic week of his life. Of course he tried his hardest to pretend like he could just "move on" but clearly the mention of Godric's name still affects him.

There were just so many really amazing things that could have been done with Eric in the latter part of the season and they did...nothing.
Because clearly Tara and Eggs breaking plates and people licking ostrage eggs is much more entertaining.

Sophie-Anne: (To Eric) I'm sorry, you were saying?
Eric: I was just saying thank you, your majesty is very kind...
Sophie-Anne: Oh yes! Now I remember! Did you know that there's a maenad in Renard Parish?
Eric: Yes. That is the reason I came to see you your majesty.
Sophie-Anne: I wouldn't get involved if I were you. Stick to what you're good at.

So that's it? She's like "don't bother" and he's like "sounds good". I mean, I know he doesn't give a crap about Sam really, but I still don't think he's the type of person who just gives up on things if he sets his mind on a task. Although I guess if the Queen says so...*shrug*

Not that any of Sophie-Anne's info was even necessary. As it turns out Sam could have just killed Maryanne weeks ago. *facepalm*

I think after three orgies Sam should have cut it off. Really. Everyone knows more than three orgies = overkill.
Unless Eric is there in pink spandex. If that is the case then all bets are off.

Sophie-Anne: I gave William Compton some bits of hand-me-down folklore we've accumulated over the centuries but, who knows if it's gospel or gorilla shit! You know I think he's monogamous with his human!
Eric: He is in love with her, yes.
Hadley: He is?!
(Sophie-Anne gives her a look)

Notice the look that Eric gives Hadley in the last couple of caps. He's probably wondering why she's so interested in Bill being in love with Sookie. He doesn't know who she is beyond some chick that the queen is banging. Unlike Bill. Who knows exactly who she is.

The queen's pointed look could mean, "STFU Hadley, he's not supposed to know anything about this!"

lol ew monogamy.

I can see how she'd think this. She is kind of big on sleeping with virtually all her "children" (except maybe the Berts).

Or all the females, since the Eisenhower days. heh.

"I felt a movement beside me and I glanced at the queen. If I had been shocked, she was electrified. I had never really though the queen could have truly loved Hadley, but I saw now that she had, as much as she was able."
- Definitely Dead (Book 6), pg. 248

But Hadley is different. What I found interesting about Sophie-Anne/Hadley was almost the same thing that I found interesting about Eric/Sookie.

Eric and Sophie-Anne are both such immensely powerful people. They're both so old that they've lost most of their connection to humanity. It's been over a millennium for both of them. They're above that. Above feelings.

And then...DAMN THE STACKHOUSE FAMILY

(I am quite surprised that a vampire never fell in love with Jason, TBH)

When I first read that passage above (that I put under the GIF) I was really quite moved. It's just so overwhelming that someone that powerful could ever be "broken", especially over someone so insignificant (in this world where things such as superiority and inferiority do matter, ha.)

I would really love for the show to really explore this storyline, because I thought the little bit that was touched upon in the books was really interesting.
Hadley and Sookie are very different people, and Sophie-Anne/Hadley and Eric/Sookie had very different relationships. But it's interesting to see the different ways a "relationship" with a vampire could end up.

Although TBH Hadley seems kind of...odd to me. That's not the right word. But something seems off.
Perhaps it's the Daisy Duke thing. I'd like to see her wearing normal clothes, lol.

Sophie-Anne: Well, of course he would be. With her. You probably are too.
Eric: I do not love humans.
Sophie-Anne: She's not entirely human. Have you tasted her?
Eric: Sadly, no.
Sophie-Anne: Don't. Ever. One vampire falling in love is bad enough!
(Hadley gives her a look)

Poor Hadley. Being reminded again that her feelings will never be returned in the same way must suck.
...BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE!

They all like to pretend that they're "better" or "over it", but that's what makes it so interesting when they're not completley immune to feeling things.

"'I don't like having feelings,' Eric said coldly, and left."
- Club Dead (Book 3), pg. 220

Another gulp.

He doesn't want to believe he could ever do that. He doesn't want to believe that it could be anything real. Because ew, feelings. Who needs that? He's stronger and better than all of that crap.

...But he's not. No completely at least. And that's part of what makes it so complex. He doesn't want to feel this way, but he does. He doesn't understand it and it confuses the hell out of him. And it takes him a HELL of a long time to admit it.

And I just always love relationships where people don't want to feel the way they do, but they just can't help it.

Sorry, Eric. Deny it all you want (and I know you will) but you can't ignore THIS forever and pretend like it's not happening to you.

Please don't even try to tell me that the only people he could love are Godric and Pam. JUST DON'T.

He doesn't mind loving Godric and Pam. They are his family. He's supposed to love them (in his mind at least).
But because of that there's no internal conflict about them. That doesn't make Eric/Godric or Eric/Pam any less fascinating. OF COURSE, maker/child relationships are intensely fascinating because they're so different from any kind of human relationship. And there's SO many things to be explored there.

But if Eric never found anything different than his love for his "family"...well, that wouldn't be anything new for him. Those relationships don't drive him crazy.

Eric: Yes, Bill Compton certainly has a knack for finding trouble.
Sophie-Anne: Mmm. For instance, how does he know I'm having you sell vampire blood? The guards hear everything.
Eric: Your majesty, I'm sorry. There is no way he could have...
Sophie-Anne: That is really bad.
Eric: He does not know that you are supplying it.

Sophie-Anne is supplying it?! That is surprising! Why would that be?

Do you think that maybe her blood is so powerful she is looking for a way to "control" a lot of the humans. Or possibly just entrap V buyers? Thoughts?

"Eric was in a bad place, because he was definitely interfering with the execution of the queen's orders - at least, I assumed the queen knew about this - but I could only pray he stayed to help me."
- All Together Dead (Book 7), pg. 197

Sophie-Anne: He better not! I'm holding you responsible.

LMAO @ the first cap!

I feel like I can still hear ONTD crying.

Sophie-Anne: There they are! (She licks his fang) Aren't yours lovely? You may be the strongest, oldest vampire in my queendom, but if I wanted I could own your fangs as earrings. Understand?
Eric: I will take care of Bill Compton. Personally.
(He leans up to kiss her again)
Ludis: (clearing his throat) Your turn to make Yahtzee!
(Sophie-Anne gets up)

The fang licking is hot, ngl.

And Eric does have the "LOOK AT ME" kink. You know he's enjoying that.

UNF
Him lying there all aroused like that is just...omg

Sophie-Anne: You suck at this!

lol Eric doesn't do sucking at things...non-sexually at least.

I love his face when he made a crappy roll. Like he can't even believe there could ever be anything that he's not awesome at.

I love the way he's just putting himself back together, heh.

Sookie: I've dreamed of this since I was a little girl...and in my dreams I always say yes.
Bill: Then it ought to be easy.
Sookie: Then why can't I say it? My heart's flying around in my chest, I can't even think straight...my life's inside out! With all that's happened...I'm not sure about anything. I don't even know if I'm human!
Bill: What?
Sookie: Maybe I am some kind of freak! I've only met one other person in the world like me and who even knows where he is!

I know, I know. Why is this here? (Besides the fact that the lighting is rather pretty)
It's not because I think Eric did this. Plz, that's not his style.

It's not much of a leap to assume that Eric is a major part of her hesitance. She says, "with all that's happened" None of what's happened has anything to do with Bill. Everything that happened to her all year was all about Eric...eventually leading up to the bullet-sucking, and the sex dreams, and the roof.

What even happened to her and Bill this year, postively or negatively speaking?
They had sex, she got hurt so she had his blood (and you know what THAT does), and then they had pillow talk that mostly consisted of:

Bill: UGGGGH SOOKEH, WHUT ARE WE DOING IN DALLAS?! There is no Wii here. AH am bored.
Sookie: AH KNOW, BEEL! But ah made a promise to Eric. mmmmmEric.
Bill: AH HAVE SO MUCH HATRED FOR ERIC!! YOU ARE MAAHHHN!!
Sookie: ...mmmm...mmmm....sex now?

(FYI Sookie's thoughts are from ONTD, not me)

Quite frankly, it would be weird to agree to marry someone when every time you close your eyes you see THIS.

And then when you add what Maryanne said about her not being 100% human on top of that, it's a lot.

For some odd reason I don't think "YAY!" was the reaction the writers were going for here...

Does this mean that next season Bill and Sookie will be separated for at least half of the season giving me the chance to actually begin to like both of them again? PLZ SAY YES!

Please explore how dark (and dangerous, lol) Bill is. He is actually more 'dangerous' than Eric since he's younger and therefore has less control.
Bill could be a fascinating character. I think it's tragic how much he wants to connect with humanity but simply...can't manage to do that. Because Lorena made him pretty fucked up in the head. And also made him hate himself.
You can make Bill likable if you wanted to. The first step would to un-Gary Stu him.

Parallel that with how Eric doesn't want anything to do with humanity and yet somehow still manages to connect with Sookie better...and I think that's pretty interesting. And book!canon, if that matters.

Also, Eric needs to be naked. A LOT.

Other Amusing Moments:

Jason/Andy lulz was pretty much the only good thing about this entire storyline

"When a tree falls in the middle of a forest...it's still a tree!"

I've always loved their friendship.

Oh Hoyt! I'm really excited for the Hoyt/Jessica storyline next year. Jessica is a BRAND NEW vampire. And Bill has been the most craptastic maker in history and completely neglected her all season long. The only reason she wasn't killing bitches all year is because of Hoyt. Of course this is what would happen if he left.

Well, this has been fun! I think doing this all season has defintiely made me love Eric even more than I even thought possible.

IF ONLY I COULD E-MAIL A LINK TO ALL OF THESE TO ALAN BALL. Between what I said, and all of the wonderful and insightful comments you guys left, this is pretty much your one stop shop to see all the reasons why everyone loves Eric.

AND GUESS WHAT? IT IS NOT BECAUSE HE'S DANGEROUS!

I feel a wee bit insulted by that insinuation actually.

I could write a novel about all the reasons why Eric is awesome. And guess what? Within all these picspams I pretty much already have. ha.

You can not write a novel about someone who is only "dangerous" and "hot". It would be like "CHAPTER 1: UNF" and then "THE END"

Think of this as the 'musical montage' at the end...
(that I seriously hope doesn't break anyone's computer)

AND THAT IS WHY I WATCH THIS SHOW!

Up Next... (lol if anyone cares)

+ I'm going to do this for s1. It should be within the next week or two, whenever I find the time. Just one big entry for the whole season (+ 2.01). It'll be the picspam of the atrocious wig or something. I'm super anal and crazy so I feel like I need to do this. Just to feel ~COMPLETE~.

+ AND THEN IT'S TIME FOR WEEKLY BARNEY/ROBIN PICSPAMS!

Starting with s4 from Robin's POV that I promised back in May. THAT WILL BE UP BEFORE MONDAY NIGHT. IT MUST BE.

I have to say I love the Queens eyebrow. It makes me laugh.

The fang licking was the absolute hottest thing ever.

I adore your picspams. :)

I am so looking forward to season 1 and the hair. I have a special place in my heart for the wig. lol.

Thanks. :)

lol as do I!

Fang licking, fang caressing, what will they come up with in terms of Eric-sec next year?

The wig brings endless lulz. Even though (and partially because) it is rather fugly. ;)

God, I have loved these entries so much. I will miss them and I can't believe it'll be a year before new episodes.

I can't believe Alan Ball is thinking of Eric in such a dimlight, saying that he's 'dangerous' and nothing else is so annoying of him. He is probably the most interesting character (for me) on the show and I wish he could see that.

Seriously. I mean, if it was my show I would never even say Bill was just "boring" and leave it at that. There's more to every character. I would never want to make any of them seem two-dimensional. ESPECIALLY, if it's the most popular one.

I will miss your picspams and your comments to the episodes :(

LMAO @ the first cap!

It's 8 in the morning here,I haven't slept yet so that's probably the explanation why this cap made me laugh hysterically.I'm still wiping the tears away. Awesome cap *roflmao*

For some odd reason I don't think "YAY!" was the reaction the writers were going for here...

I was still so mad about the crapfest that was this episode and especially the proposal but when Bill got kidnapped, everything was ok again. Totally made the episode for me *g*

AND GUESS WHAT? IT IS NOT BECAUSE HE'S DANGEROUS!

I feel a wee bit insulted by that insinuation actually.

Not only you! AB redeemed himself a bit with another interview he appearantly gave the same day but the Q&A thing with Aussiello made me very mad. Because yes,the way he said it there,IS an insult for all Eric (and Erik/Sookie) fans. Obviously we all love this character only because he is hot (which he is) and dangerous (which he also is),period. And nothing more... Shows me that unlike us,AB hasn't read the books *headdesk*

HAHA I didn't even cap that on purpose, it was like an accident. And then when I saw it I just burst out laughing for like 5mins.

The other interview didn't make me feel better necessarily, it just wasn't flat out insulting. lol. But what I don't get is why he would say that about any of his main characters. I mean, as someone in charge of a show your objective should be to portray all of the main characters as interesting and three dimensional in the best way that you can.

And I'm quite bothered by the fact that he can say that while claiming to be "true" to the books at the same time. I mean, shipping preferenes aside, Eric/Sookie is the relationship that has the most page-time devoted to it. And not even by a little bit. Also, pretty much all of their interaction has been very positive. So, there's just no way you can ignore that. If you want to roughly follow the plot at all...they have to be a huge deal.

If AB wanted to do his own thing and change everything, and admitted to that, well, that would be disappointing, but I'd get over it.
But I hate feeling like he's just bullshitting us. :/

D: I DIDN'T WANT THIS TO END. jsyk I scrolled through this post REALLY SLOWLY so that it'd take me longer to get to the end. Oh, Eric. Oh, you. I'm looking forward to your s1 Eric spam - s1 Eric will definitely be more interesting to read about with all that we know about him now.

Eric's expression when Sophie-Anne mentioned Godric (and somewhat flippantly I might add - shouldn't a vampire of her age understand the importance of a maker to its makee~) just killed me. It really is an insult to his character that they haven't gone more in depth with that storyline, and instead, like you said, wasted plenty of screentime establishing that Bon Temps was in trouble and that the town was under Maryann's control. I hope that Ball's reasoning for keeping Eric out of the spotlight the past few episodes is completely justified next season. Completely.

AND GUESS WHAT? IT IS NOT BECAUSE HE'S DANGEROUS! I feel a wee bit insulted by that insinuation actually.

I was so beyond insulted that he said that. It makes me more than a little nervous that the man ultimately in charge of a character's fate doesn't even seem to understand the character and its appeal at all. I mean, I hate to be this kind of viewer, but - hasn't he read the books? I understand that not all of the characters in the show are like their book counterparts but why ruin a good thing? Not to say that his character on the show isn't great, but it worries me that Ball doesn't seem to understand that, and instead insists on worshiping the ground Bill walks on. I really hope that Eric's promise to "take care" of Bill is a red herring, because if they draw him in - in any way - into Bill's kidnapping, I will be... well, super duper mad.

lol that's awesome. Yea, I'm excited for the s1 thing because I've really only watched the season 1 eps like one time and I watched it marathon-style so I didn't really spend any time thinking about them.

Exactly. I mean, if there were all these amazing storylines going on then a lack of Eric would be one thing but...what we were seeing instead was not only ridiculous but completley repetitive. It was like the same gross thing over and over that ultimately went no where. And then they had this amazing opportunity to do a really legit emotional storyline and they just passed?

What's so odd about his statements is that it doesn't even seem like he's watching his own show, haha. I mean, if anything tv!Eric is more three-dimensional than he was at this point in the story in the books. It felt like the point of this whole season was to show that he's more than just the "bad guy".
And it bugs me that he thinks of Eric as this dangerous guy when in my interpretation (from the books AND the show) Bill is just as dangerous, if not worse. The show has portrayed Eric as very rational and fair (and he learned that from Godric). Bill on the other hand would kill anyone who looks at Sookie funny. And since he's younger, if it were an extreme situation he would be less able to control himself.
I think there's a HUGE difference between being a "bad ass" and a "bad guy" too.

We already talked about a lot of this, but, whatever, I need a distraction from a frustrating Bones ep. (LOL, though I guess this show has it's frustrating elements, too!)

Alan Ball claims that there was a plot-related reason why Eric had very little screen time in the last three episodes. Well, honestly, IDAF

And I don't think that's okay when we're not going to find out UNTIL NEXT SUMMER. It's one thing if we found out in the finale that there was some really awesome reason for Eric's lack of screen time. But how are we supposed to be content with that kind of vague answer?

Unless Eric is there in pink spandex. If that is the case then all bets are off.

YOU KNOW. They really did miss so many opportunities with that. First of, the internet might've literally exploded if they put ASkars in spandex! Secondly, if Eric had been the one to save them all? What would've that done to Bill? To Sookie? Even to Sam? Having Bill and Sam be the heroes is just boring compared to that.

Do you think that maybe her blood is so powerful she is looking for a way to "control" a lot of the humans. Or possibly just entrap V buyers? Thoughts?

Oooh, I like the idea of her maybe wanting to control the humans. I guess . . . like, I don't want to say she's feeling insecure about the humans in her distract because she's a vampire and humans are pretty much nothing to her . . . but I could see her wanting to have more of a handle on them.

What even happened to her and Bill this year, postively or negatively speaking?

This is a REALLY good point, and probably a big reason why there aren't more Bill/Sookie shippers. I don't buy that you can't make committed couples interesting . . . but they sure aren't if nothing ever happens to them. After the first couple of episodes, did they ever even fight?

Starting with s4 from Robin's POV that I promised back in May. THAT WILL BE UP BEFORE MONDAY NIGHT. IT MUST BE.

IF IT'S NOT, I'LL PERSONALLY COME AFTER YOU. (I mean, I don't know exactly where you live or what you look like, but it can't be that hard to find one person in all of New York!)

(Did you watch the HIMYM clips? I probably shouldn't have because I know I'll be sad on Monday when I've already seen 25% of the episode, but I couldn't resist!)

But how are we supposed to be content with that kind of vague answer?
Exactly. And sadly, I think the problem is that there isn't really an answer. I'm sure that Eric was probably involved in whatever the Queen was doing with the blood somehow. I heard that the King of Mississippi will also be involved with whatever that is too so it's bound to be something huge that all the most powerful vamps are involved in.

BUT STILL, if we can have all these completely useless scenes of people just being ridiculous that have me looking at the clock and thinking "Why is this necessary?" then there could have been a way to deal with more aftermath to the Dallas storyline.
I mean, the reason why there was no after-math in the book was because Eric didn't have any direct involvement with it, nor did anyone else. Although they did deal with the after-math of Sookie having Eric's blood and learning to trust him more.
LOL IN FACT, ERIC IS THE ONLY REASON THE MARYANNE STORYLINE WAS EVEN INTERESTING IN THE BOOKS!

Having Bill and Sam be the heroes is just boring compared to that.
YES! Having the "heroes" save the day is just like "um ok, that's nice".

Honestly, I would have rather seen Jason/Andy help out Sam. haha.

I don't buy that you can't make committed couples interesting . . . but they sure aren't if nothing ever happens to them. After the first couple of episodes, did they ever even fight?
Nope. I think that is the problem if you want to follow the plot and try and make Bill/Sookie actually work. Their relationship is barely ever progressed beyond the first book (except for negatively in 3 and 6). There's not much to work with. Whereas I feel like something pretty significant happens with Sookie/Eric in every book.

It's bad because I'm going to a concert tomorrow night and then I'm going to a party on Saturday night but ALL OF MY FREE TIME BESIDES THAT WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE ROBIN PICSPAM!

I watched the clip where they're at the hockey game and Barney punches the guy and later is like I WOULD PUNCH A BABY! hahaha
But I refrained from the other ones. I rationalized it by wanting a "taste" but not wanting more than that.

you are right about bill they really need to make him more likable. i was expecting this from jessica sadly. bill is never there to teach her, and with hoyt gone it was bound to happen. hope they can fix things. the fang licking was hot yup. i too hope they follow the hadley and sophiann storyline, there its something there. im glad at least they showed that eric is still hurt about loosing godric. im kinda happy with the cliff hanger since i wont be as worried as last time lol

Yea, I would have liked to have seen more Bill/Jessica this year. It was only in those scenes that I found him really likable.

I think Sophie-Anne/Hadley could be interesting, since in the books is was told more "after the fact".

Do you think that maybe her blood is so powerful she is looking for a way to "control" a lot of the humans. Or possibly just entrap V buyers? Thoughts?

Eric said that Sophie-Anne was providing the blood, but that's not necessary her blood, it could be the ones of her guards... Anyway, I still wonder why she does that. The only logical explanation that I have, if that she wants to caugh the humans that sells blood in Bon Temps, like the provider of Lafayette.

Dazzling picspam :)

It's true, it might not be her blood. But it could be. If not, I suppose it could be a bigger operation than just Bon Temps, like she's trying to track buyers everywhere.

Thanks!

There were just so many really amazing things that could have been done with Eric in the latter part of the season and they did...nothing.
Because clearly Tara and Eggs breaking plates and people licking ostrage eggs is much more entertaining.

When you think they didn't even have to be original... if only they could follow the books more. Eric would've been in pink spandex, Sookie would've made him talk about Godric (and ASkars being so awesome, he would've made it work even with the pink spandex), they would've made out (YUM) and Eric would've saved the day/town! Now, *that* would entice us to watch next season.

IF ONLY I COULD E-MAIL A LINK TO ALL OF THESE TO ALAN BALL. Between what I said, and all of the wonderful and insightful comments you guys left, this is pretty much your one stop shop to see all the reasons why everyone loves Eric.

Email that to HBO, repeatedly. Or maybe we should all do that too. I don't know, but I'm very frustrated not be able to do anything myself when it's SO obvious that if the Eric fans campaigned, it would work. We're just too many.

AND GUESS WHAT? IT IS NOT BECAUSE HE'S DANGEROUS!

I feel a wee bit insulted by that insinuation actually.

Same here. It's pretty infuriating.

haha exactly! I mean, in all honestly, Eric is the only thing that made the maenad storyline in the books even work at all. Without that it's just like "wtf, who cares?"

Yea, I totally respect people who want to follow their own vision and all that, but if 90% of your audience thinks what you're doing isn't that great, maybe that should tell you that you need to at least tweak things. You can't just ignore that completley.

Plus why would you want any of your main characters to seem two-dimensional? They should be more complex.

Well, it didn't break my comp. but I think I had a heart attack, a stoke and now I need a cigarette ;) Thank you for making Eric's time playing Yahtzee seem amazing. I was totally bummed that the last episode lacked a certain pink garment but I kinda saw that coming. I look forward to your posting for next season -you do a great job. In fact, I think I might bookmark this post so whenever I miss Eric I can visit you awesome GIF collection :) Thanks!

I wasn't really bummed about the lack of pink spandex because I felt pretty certain it wasn't going to be there by mid season. Alas.

haha glad I didn't break your computer though!

God, I was so pissed that we only had one Eric scene in the season finale, but it was partially made up for by the fact that Eric was somehow even more ridiculously hot in it. Guh!

Thank you so much for doing this for us. And I love that you make the pictures lighter and color correct them so we can actually see what's going on.

He's so pretty. Omg. I need a moment of silence. I love the way his eyes pick up the light. They look like shiny marbles.

And yes, the fang/mouth caressing, hottest thing to exist in the history of human kind. And we got it in two episodes. It's so like Eric from the books too, I love Alex for picking up on how Eric loves eye contact. I'll miss seeing him on the screen each week :( he needs to start doing movies STAT. And thanks again for the lovely caps each week.

I know! I'm seriously mesmerized by his eyes here! Especially in the first GIF! And they're just so blue!

I hope we get lots of fang kink next season too! And really, just a full on sex scene with him that is actually happening would be good!

I've been checking out your picspams for a few weeks now and just wanted to let you know how much I love them since it's all over now (for another year anyway :(

That scene with Eric and Sophie Anne - check out the look Eric gives Hadley when she shows surprise that Bill is in love with Sookie. You can literally see his radar totally going OFF. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that Bill is now fucked.

Can't wait to see your season 1 picspam, you're awesome :)

I did notice that, I just forgot to mention it at first, haha. But yes, I'm really excited for the storyline (if they choose to do this) of Eric finding this out on his own and getting really PISSED for Sookie and over the fact that he knew nothing about it. And then forcing Bill to confess.

Thanks! :D

I was so looking forward to this :) Despite the minimal Eric-ness we got in this episode, I think it really advanced his character even more then this season already has.

I felt so bad for Eric throughout this episode--or at least the five minutes of screen time the writers gave him :/ Seriously, that's it? Even the Godric mention was sort of blink and you miss it. But even so, in that short amount of time I found myself truly believing that Eric does in fact have feelings for Sookie whether he wants to admit it or not. That look he gave the Queen (and the gulp!) when she asked him if he's tasted her. There was also a great moment when he says "Yes, Bill sure has a way of finding trouble" (or something to that effect), to which Eric looks down at the floor sort of like he's thinking "Oh God, what's wrong with me, am I still thinking about her?!" lol. At least that's what I thought. The fact that the Queen was onto him and Eric was getting more and more squirmy was really interesting interaction.

Hopefully in Season 3 we'll get more Sookie and Eric alone time, assuming that Alan Ball doesn't decide to be all cliche and make Eric Bill's kidnapper (although I'm still 99% sure that it's Lorena, after that whole "I wish you hadn't of said that" line she fed Bill in "I Will Rise Up").

lol I'm totally with you. He was definitely thinking, "Oh god, what's wrong with me?" Poor Eric, he can't stop it no matter how hard he tries.

I think we will get more Eric/Sookie alone time. I mean, Bill and Sookie should be apart for several episodes regardless of who kidnapped him, and it would be only logical for Sookie to go to Eric for help.
I think it was Lorena too, but it could have been a Queen/Lorena sort of combination. In the books Lorena did keep Bill in the King Of Mississippi's place, and the king is supposed to have something to do with Sophie-Anne. Not to say that the queen and Lorena were working together (lol I can't see that ever happening), but there could be a connection of some kind.

Hi! First time posting here, I just HAVE to tell you how much I've enjoyed these picspams! I came upon True Blood and your journal pretty late, so reading all this stuff all at once was.... er.... a health and computer risk, but anyway!! LOL! I agree with all of your comments and, seriously, Alan Ball definitely needs to check these pages out!

**And Eric does have the "LOOK AT ME" kink. You know he's enjoying that.**

I will add just one different interpretation in this scene. I don't think that Eric was aroused by the Queen. I felt he was very uncomfortable, very like a fish out of the water, bored, scared and trapped. When she lashes out at him and pins him down, he's surprised, alarmed and scared. His fangs come out in defence, not arousal, despite the kisses and licks (anyone who is not whining they are not in ERW's place, raise a hand...). He leans up to push the Queen away, not to keep kissing her. She has just threatened to pull his fangs out for crying out loud (worse than cutting off a certain male organ I dare say..), he's not after more. The way he looks as he's lying there, if he had a pulse (Alex has, Eric doesn't) it would be racing with fear, and how he sits up and looks at her, he's glad it's over and alarmed for the future. Just my humble opinion. Oh and Alexander was PERFECT in this scene, just PERFECT in all accounts. If anyone wondered if Eric is a baddie, this scene proves he's not. He's a softie, a teddy-bearie, a honey-bunny-sweetie that sucks at Yahtzee and is so cuuuuuute! LOLOL!

One whole year for season 3????????? -cries like a baby- wuaaaa!!!!!!

Again, thanks for the wonderful entries, they made my days! Hug? :D

Oh and... I went "YAY!!" when poor Bill was abducted too. I just don't like Bill, I don't, I don't believe him for some reason. Too self righteous and heroic in a boastful way for me. Nope, can't root for him. It's bad boy Eric for me. Maybe it's Guy of Gisborne's fault (Richard Armitage, BBC's "Robin Hood"), I like bad men in black lately!! Heh!

1) I actually liked Bill and Sookie in the finale. And I felt bad for Sookie at the end. First time in the entire season! Good job, Alan Ball.

2) WHY ARE SOPHIE-ANNE'S FANGS SO DAMN HUGE. They look like they are in the way. A lot. Eric and Pam has such pretty fangs. /biased

Otherwise, Sophie-Anne was better in this episode. Portrayal wise. IMO, anyway. Last episode was kinda awkward, especially the beginning. I don't mind her sticking around for a while.

Wow! Thanks for another awesome and funny picspam! I look forward to these all week as a way to re-live the Eric scenes and drown my sorrows about the show :) I was so disappointed with the AB interview. I just hope the people at HBO and the other writers put some pressure on him to change his tune. IS there any way that we COULD send these picspams to HBO and/or to him? I think they are wonderful and truly a good representation of why we all love Eric and AS.

I laughed MAO over the the made-up conversation between B&S in bed and the Generation Kill gifs! I also LOVED the way Eric wrote his name really BIG on the score card!! I never would have noticed that without your picspam! SOOOOOO looking forward to your season 1 re-cap.

The only thing missing from this picspam was a longer gif of the moment when Eric gets off of the floor. It was one of my favorite parts of the season-- his body movements and facial expressions were hilarious! :) Thanks so much! And I hope you will continue to do season 3!! --Belladonna

I have been following your picspams for a while now and I must say that they have made every episode that much more enjoyable. No matter how little screentime Eric had in some episodes, you make it look as if he was there for much longer. Kudos.

I can't believe we have to wait almost a whole year for s3. Until then, I guess I'll keep myself busy with your B/R spams ;)
